Sara Trautman-Yeğenoğlu is the Assistant Director of Advancement Resources at Washington Performing Arts. Sara has over 20 years of experience in the field of nonprofit arts management, including grant writing, annual fund campaigns, and stewardship.

Sara began their career as Development Associate at Liz Lerman Dance Exchange in 1996. Sara then became the Sustaining Fund and Grants Manager at The Textile Museum in 1999. In 2006, they joined WETA as the Director of Foundation and Government Development. Sara spent 8 years at WETA before moving to Duke Ellington School of the Arts in 2014, where they served as Director of Grants and Annual Fund for 3 years.

Sara is a highly skilled fundraiser with a proven track record of success in securing major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Sara is passionate about the arts and has dedicated their career to supporting the work of nonprofit arts organizations.
