Steve Nevey

Steve Nevey is an experienced maritime professional with a strong background in operational management and organizational restructuring. As the Deputy Secretary (Executive Director) of Washington State Ferries from October 2021 to March 2024, Steve Nevey led a significant restructuring initiative, streamlining 11 departments into 5 teams to enhance operational efficiency. Previously, as the Director of Marine Operations at Washington State Ferries, Steve Nevey managed comprehensive operational functions including fleet and terminal operations. Steve Nevey has also held leadership roles at Holland America Line from 2002 to 2015, where responsibilities included providing 24/7 operational support for multiple ships and managing a major retrofit project. Earlier in the career, Steve Nevey served as a Navigation Officer at Chevron. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Nautical Science from Solent University.
