Guillermo Cartagena's work experience includes roles at various financial institutions and the United States Air Force. Guillermo started as a Security Forces Officer in the United States Air Force in 2004 before transitioning to roles at Banner Bank, Sterling Bank, Umpqua Bank, and Washington Trust Bank. At Umpqua Bank, they served as a Systems Analyst, leading the design and implementation of an automated loan boarding system. At Washington Trust Bank, they progressed from an IT Business Analyst to eventually becoming the VP Director of IT Software Development. Throughout their career, Guillermo has demonstrated strong leadership and technical skills in the banking and finance sector.
Guillermo Cartagena completed an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Business Transfer at Community Colleges of Spokane from 2014 to 2016. Subsequently, they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a concentration in Management Information Systems at Gonzaga University from 2016 to 2018. Additionally, Guillermo obtained certifications as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) in 2022, a UX Certificate in 2021, and became a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) in 2020.
