Alexis Hill

Alexis Hill is a dedicated public servant currently serving as County Commissioner for Washoe County, Nevada since January 2021, with a strong commitment to community and sustainability. Prior experience includes running a campaign for Washoe County Commission, District 1, and managing arts, culture, and special events for the City of Reno, where responsibilities included enhancing the city’s quality of life through arts and events. Alexis has also been an instructor at Truckee Meadows Community College, teaching fundraising event management, and served as Executive Director for Kids and Horses, overseeing grant-writing and fundraising efforts. Earlier roles include managing sales and marketing for the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival and working as an Assistant City Planner for the City of Sparks. Educational credentials include a Master’s in Public Administration and Public Policy from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a Bachelor's in Political Science from Texas A&M University.
