Sarah Giddings

Sarah Giddings serves as the Director of the Washtenaw Alliance for Virtual Education (WAVE), where programming emphasizes personalized, flexible, and hybrid learning for middle and high school students. With experience as the Associate Director, Giddings leads a team of educators in innovating alternative educational models. Additional roles include Social Media Strategist and Ambassador for Teacher-Powered Schools, coordinating online presence and sharing impactful stories in education. As the Social and Emotional Learning Coordinator for the Washtenaw Intermediate School District, Giddings facilitates discussions on SEL and social justice. Prior experience includes a National Teaching Fellow with Hope Street Group and a key role in developing a teacher-led curriculum at Al Raby School in Chicago. Giddings holds a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration and a Bachelor's Degree in social relations, policy, English, and education from Michigan State University.
