Riaan Bekker

Riaan Bekker has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Riaan currently serves as the Director of Operations and Global IT at Watchmaker Genomics, where they are responsible for directing IT strategies and managing business systems across the organization. Prior to this, Riaan worked at Kapa Biosystems as the IT Manager for over 15 years, overseeing technology implementation and supporting global offices. Riaan also has experience as the Interim Site Head at Roche, Sequencing Solutions Cape Town, where they represented the site in high-level decisions and ensured compliance with corporate standards. Riaan's earlier career includes roles as a Senior Software Engineer at Odyssey Software, a part-time lecturer at the Central University of Technology and a lecturer at CS Computer Services. Riaan also worked as an Analyst/Programmer at Visimed Medical Aid and as a lecturer assistant at Technikon Free State.
