Water for Good
Weston Williams serves as the Church & Faith Relations Manager at Water for Good since March 2023, following an extensive tenure at Bowling Green Christian Church, where roles included Senior Minister and Involvement Minister from January 2006 to March 2023. As Senior Minister, responsibilities included collaborating with eldership on church mission and values, providing pastoral care, overseeing discipleship ministries, preaching, and leading a successful capital campaign that raised over $1,000,000 for a new building. Additional experience includes serving as an Adjunct Professor at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College from January 2011 to December 2019 and various ministerial roles at Central Christian Church and Ozark Christian College. Weston holds several degrees, including a Doctor of Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing an Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising at Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.
Water for Good
Water for Good provides hand pump maintenance services in central Africa, working collaboratively with the community to conduct standardized performance checks and make minor repairs on the pumps. The process provides communities with sustainable access to clean water, transformational sanitation principles, and improved agricultural resources.Water for Good serves communities in the Central African Republic (CAR) who rely on water pumps as their main source of clean, safe drinking water and can benefit from improved functionality and maintenance of their pumps. The company currently services over 950 water pumps, impacting roughly 500,000 people. There are an additional 2.7 million people in CAR who could benefit from Water for Good?s services through local NGOs or community well committees.In Sub-Saharan Africa, an estimated $1 billion dollars worth of investment in rural water hand pumps has gone to waste due to broken pumps. Water for Good teams conduct standardized performance checks, replace worn parts, make minor repairs and monitor the hand pumps. Unlike past efforts that have left water pumps nonfunctional, Water for Good provides a comprehensive set of services that ensure long-term water point functionality.
