Rania Bashar, PhD, serves as a Senior Consultant at Moonshot Missions, where responsibilities include project management and technical assistance related to wastewater optimization and nutrient management in the Great Lakes region. Additionally, Rania is part of the Research Project Advisory Committee for The Water Research Foundation, focusing on aerobic granular sludge processes. As a State Organizer for the Stockholm Junior Water Prize, Rania contributes to promoting water sustainability education. Previously, Rania worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, operating nitrogen removal treatment plants, and as a Graduate Research Assistant, conducting wastewater treatment design and evaluation. Rania's educational background includes a PhD in Biological Systems Engineering and a Master's in Civil Engineering, with a focus on environmental studies.
