Zayu Atencio is a Project Engineer at Water Resources Engineering since July 2022, bringing prior experience as a Transportation Engineer with the Washington State Department of Transportation from August 2021 to June 2022. Zayu's career began as an Engineering Graduate Assistant at the University of Arkansas from October 2019 to August 2021 and included a role as a Transportation Intern at Michael Baker International in the summer of 2018. Zayu holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, both obtained from the University of Arkansas, completing the Master's degree in 2021 and the Bachelor's degree in 2019.

Water Resources Engineering, Inc. (WRE) provides specialized engineering services to clients in the private and public sectors. Our engineers and scientists assist clients with the planning, analysis, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of water systems and structures. We provide these services to a range of clients, from federal government agencies to municipalities, utilities, and other engineering firms. Since its inception in 1989, WRE has worked closely with clients to satisfy not only their technical requirements but their economic and policy concerns as well.
