Oluseyi Abdulmalik has a diverse work experience with various organizations. From 2017 onwards, they worked at WaterAid as a Communications & Media Manager, where they collaborated with stakeholders, implemented the organization's country strategy, and supported media work for campaigns and fundraising initiatives. Prior to that, they were the Communications & Campaigns Manager at WaterAid from 2011 to 2017, responsible for developing and implementing the organization's communication strategy, promoting its brand, and managing a database of journalists and media actors. Before joining WaterAid, they served as a Communications Consultant at UNICEF Nigeria from 2007 to 2010, where they developed the country newsletter and website. Additionally, they worked as a Highway Africa Programme Assistant at the Highway Africa-Conference from 2001 to 2004, and as a Programme Assistant at Rhodes University School of Journalism & Media Studies from 1999 to 2002.

Oluseyi Abdulmalik has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication from Daystar University. Following that, they pursued a degree in Journalism, completing a B.A (Hons) in Journalism at Rhodes University. Oluseyi furthered their education in the same field at Rhodes University, obtaining a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Journalism & Media Studies.
