Lead Policy Analyst: Water Security And Climate Resilience at WaterAid

Patience Mukuyu has extensive experience in the field of water and environmental management. Patience is currently employed as the Lead Policy Analyst for Water Security and Climate Resilience at WaterAid. Previously, they worked as a Researcher in Transboundary Water Management at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) for 5 years. Prior to that, they were an Associate Consultant at Gondwana Environmental Solutions, where they gained valuable experience in the industry. Patience also worked as an Independent Researcher, focusing on water and environmental topics, and taught as a Teaching Assistant at the University of South Africa. Their early career included a role as a Research Assistant at IWMI and as a Quality Control Chemist at the Zimbabwe National Water Authority and Environmental Management Agency.

Patience Mukuyu completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Hons degree in Applied Chemistry at the National University of Science and Technology (ZW) from 2000 to 2004. Patience then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Environmental Science at the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education from 2007 to 2009.
