Kira Vanderwert

Kira Vanderwert's work experience spans various roles and industries. Kira began their career in 2008 as an Investment Accountant at The Clifton Group and later worked as a Trade Analyst at Green Tree Servicing. In 2011, they joined UnitedHealth Group as an International Strategy and Corporate Development Associate. Kira also served as a Volunteer Consultant for Mortgages and Personal Finance at Community Ladders, LLC. In 2013, they became a Board Member and Treasurer at The Lift Garage, a start-up non-profit focused on providing affordable car repair services. Vanderwert then transitioned to Walter Investment Management Corp in 2012, where they held the position of Vice President of Corporate Development. During their tenure, they led mergers and acquisitions in the mortgage and insurance industries and oversaw strategic initiatives, including process improvement and client/vendor contract renegotiations. Kira left Walter Investment Management Corp in 2018 and continued their corporate development career at Ditech Holding Corporation as the SVP, Head of Investor Relations and Corporate Development. Afterward, they joined Assurant as the Vice President of Corporate Development before taking on their current role as the Head of Corporate Development at Waterfall Asset Management LLC in December 2019.

Kira Vanderwert attended Macalester College from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Their fields of study were Economics and Political Science. In 2007, they also briefly studied International Economics at the University of Cape Town.
