Darren Ware

Darren Ware possesses extensive experience in the IT and cybersecurity sectors, currently serving as Project Leader for Cybersecurity at Waterford City & County Council since June 2017. Ware has held the position of Director at Dragon IT-Services since August 2014 and previously worked as an IT Support Analyst at Calon Energy Limited from April 2015 to May 2017. Ware has a background in IT management as the Group IT Manager at Nationwide Energy Services from June 2012 to July 2014 and served as IS Project Leader at Waterford County Council from 2003 to 2012. Early career roles included Support Team Lead/Projects Manager at Group RCI and Network Manager at Nelvana. Additional experience includes IT Support Manager and Technical Specialist at Legal & General, and Technical Support at Bank of Wales. Ware holds a Master’s degree in CyberSecurity from Munster Technological University and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Waterford Institute of Technology.
