Catherine Friend

Catherine Friend is a versatile academic and researcher with extensive experience in user experience design, psychology, and cybercrime studies. Currently serving as a User Experience UX lecturer at IBAT College Dublin since March 2022, Catherine has a strong background in teaching adult learners. As a Research Analyst at Cilter, contributions focus on adolescent mental health for child protection software. Additionally, Catherine holds multiple roles at Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology, including Assistant Lecturer in Forensic Psychology and Research Supervisor for M. Sc students. With a history of involvement in EFPSA, including content review and management positions, and leadership roles in the Psychological Society of Ireland Student Affairs Group, Catherine combines academic proficiency with active engagement in the psychology community. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Philosophy in Cybercrime from Waterford Institute of Technology and multiple degrees in Cyberpsychology and Applied Psychology.
