Organizing Director at Waterkeeper Alliance

Bart Mihailovich has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Bart began their career in 2007 as the Founder, Blogger, and Consultant for the Spokesman-Review / Down To Earth. Bart then worked as a Marketing Traffic Specialist at Mountain Gear from November 2008 to July 2010. Bart later joined the Center for Justice in July 2010 and served as the Spokane Riverkeeper, dedicated to protecting and restoring the health of the Spokane River watershed. Bart held this position until July 2014.

In July 2014, Bart joined the Waterkeeper Alliance as an Affiliate Coordinator, responsible for coordinating work with other affiliates. Bart then progressed within the organization, holding roles such as Organizer, Eastern U.S. from July to September 2017, Senior Organizer, Eastern U.S. from September 2017 to January 2019, and Organizing Manager, U.S. from January 2019 to March 2022. Currently, Bart is the Organizing Director at Waterkeeper Alliance, a position they have held since March 2022.

Additionally, Bart has been actively involved in non-profit organizations and boards. Bart served as a Board Member at Eastern Washington University from July 2014 to June 2018. Bart also held the position of Chair at the City of Missoula - Energy and Climate Team from March 2017 to November 2019. Since December 2020, they have been a Member of the Board of Directors at the Spokane Riverkeeper, further contributing to environmental advocacy.

Bart Mihailovich obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Journalism from Eastern Washington University, spanning from 2001 to 2006.
