Mel Harwood

Mel Harwood is an experienced engineering professional with a strong focus on street and lighting engineering. Currently serving as a Street Lighting Engineer at Waterman Group since March 2021, Mel previously held the position of Senior Lighting Engineer at WSP for a brief period in early 2022. Additional experience includes a role as Chaplain at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust from October 2017 to October 2021 and at HM Prison Service from June 2008 to November 2016. Mel's foundational experience in lighting engineering was developed at Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, where service extended from July 2003 to May 2018. Mel holds an HNC in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from North Staffordshire Polytechnic, obtained between 1981 and 1983.
