Claire Murray

Claire Murray is an accomplished executive in the arts sector, currently serving as Executive Director and Joint CEO at The Watermill Theatre since August 2021, where leadership focuses on strategic development and financial sustainability. Prior experience includes a significant tenure as Executive Director at Sheffield Theatres from July 2009 to August 2021, overseeing various organizational functions, including communications, fundraising, and audience engagement. Claire has also contributed as Interim Chief Executive Officer, trustee roles with the Society of London Theatre and Northern Lines, and various marketing and project management positions in notable organizations such as Theatre Royal Plymouth and Royal & Derngate.
