Gareth Cleland

Gareth Cleland is a highly experienced professional with a robust background in chemistry and service support within the scientific instrumentation industry. Currently serving as Senior Manager in Service Support and Development at Waters Corporation since March 2002, Gareth oversees multiple support groups focused on liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, and liquid handling instrumentation, while also coordinating and enhancing Field Service support across the Americas. Prior roles at Waters included positions such as Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist, where Gareth contributed to global marketing and product development within the Food and Environmental Business Operations group. Gareth's career also includes significant experience at the Royal Society of Chemistry as a Chartered Chemist and as a Development Chemist at MacDermid Autotype. Educationally, Gareth holds a Ph.D. and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Chemistry from Newcastle University.
