David Clark

David Clark has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as an English Teacher at BASIS Educational Group from July 2009 to July 2012. David taught various English and philosophy classes and also contributed to curriculum development.

After that, they worked as a Web Developer at BrinkMedia from February 2013 to June 2014. In this role, they led frontend development projects, focusing on usability, performance, and modern best practices. David also improved workflows and build processes while collaborating with graphic designers to create functional and visually appealing interfaces.

From June 2014 to May 2016, David worked as a Web Developer at HealthTrio LLC. Here, they developed a flexible UI framework using Node, React, and Redux. Their work involved replacing outdated legacy code and creating component-based architectures to meet the clients' customization needs.

Next, they joined Mapbox in May 2016 and held multiple roles during their tenure until August 2021. As a Software Engineer, they worked on various projects such as web applications, component libraries, build tools, and cloud infrastructure. David also served as a technical lead and engineering manager for different teams within the organization.

Currently, David is a Software Engineer at Watershed since August 2021. Their focus is on building tools to assist companies in assessing and reducing their carbon footprints, contributing to impactful climate programs.

David Clark obtained a BA degree in English from Grinnell College between the years 2001 and 2005. Following this, they pursued an MA degree in English at Northwestern University from 2007 to 2008.
