Paul Murphy

Paul Murphy is an experienced filmmaker and educator currently serving as a film teacher at Galway Education Centre since January 2023. With a strong background in filmmaking, Paul has directed short documentaries for Waterways Ireland and Galway County Council, among others, from 2018 onwards. Notable works include "Stories from the Waterways" and "This Giant Tent," which received significant recognition. Additionally, Paul was awarded the RTE/Galway Film Centre Short Script award for the short drama "The Weather Report," achieving selection at 63 film festivals across 17 countries. Paul holds a Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology and a Master's degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies from University of Galway.
