Kaarina Mikalson

Kaarina Mikalson is a Community Support Specialist at Wattpad. Kaarina has been with the company since January 2020 and in their role, they help to moderate the site and support the community.

Prior to joining Wattpad, Kaarina was a Research Assistant at the University of Alberta from January 2014 to December 2015. During their time there, they conducted research on a variety of topics and authored several papers.

From January 2013 to December 2020, Kaarina was an Instructor at Dalhousie University. In this role, they taught courses on literature and composition.

Kaarina has a passion for writing and helping others to improve their writing skills. Kaarina is excited to be able to use their skills and experience to help the Wattpad community grow and thrive.

Kaarina Mikalson has a PhD in English Language and Literature from Dalhousie University, an MA in English Language and Literature from the University of Alberta, and a BA in English Language and Literature from Dalhousie University.

Their manager is Barbara Ott, Head of Community Wellness. They are on a team with Chinmay Garge - Community Manager, Vivian Milano - Senior Community Support Specialist, and Briana Ferrer - Senior Community Support Specialist.
