Katherine Rios

Katherine Rios is a Venezuelan-born editorial specialist and software developer. Katherine has worked in the videogame industry, as well as teaching English and computer science. In their current role at Wattpad, they are responsible for managing content from Latin American writers.

Katherine began their career in 2009 as a freelance math, physics, and English tutor. In 2013, they transitioned into the software development industry, working first as a software developer for CEIP María de las Almas Consagradas and then as COO of A&K Software and Design. In 2016, they began working in the videogame industry, participating in the ExpoGameFest national videogame development competition. Her team placed third in the competition.

In their current role at Wattpad, Katherine is responsible for managing content from Latin American writers. Katherine works with a team of editorial specialists to ensure that the quality of the content meets Wattpad’s standards.

Katherine Rios first studied to be a Tecnico Superior Universitario en Informatica at the Instituto Universitario de Tecnologia Region Capital. Katherine then went on to study Ingenieria informatica at the same school, and received their certification from the Institute of Billingual Teaching in Certificado Ingles B2. Finally, they received their Certification from I.U.T Dr. Federico Rivero Palacio in Ingeniero en informática mención Cum Laude.
