King Kai Chu

King Kai Chu has over 20 years of experience in tax and treasury roles. King Kai began their career as a Tax Associate at Arthur Andersen LLP/Ernst & Young LLP in 2000 and later held positions at Verizon Communications Inc, Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals. Currently, they serve as the Head of Tax and Treasury at Wave Life Sciences since 2018.

King Kai Chu obtained a B.S. in Accounting from Rutgers University, Rutgers College in 2000. King Kai then earned an M.A. in Accountancy with a focus on Taxation from Rutgers Business School in 2005. Subsequently, they attended Rutgers University School of Law from 2005 to 2008, where they received their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree. In 2007, they did a non-matriculated program in Law at Tsinghua University School of Law. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Certified Public Accountant and is admitted to the New York and New Jersey Bars, as well as the U.S. Tax Court.
