Sarah Bou-Rhodes has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the fields of human resources and operations. Sarah started their career at Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team Ladies (AMURTEL) as a Programs Coordinator in 2011. In 2012, they worked as a Housing Coordinator at CEMEX and as an International Programs Coordinator Volunteer at the American Red Cross. From 2012 to 2018, Sarah held multiple positions at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) including Human Resources Coordinator, Human Resources Officer, and Human Resources/Finance Manager. During their time at MSF, they managed cash flow, projections, and reporting for a large project, oversaw the human resources management of over 600 employees, and led a team of three. Since 2018, Sarah has been working at Wave Mobile Money, where they initially served as an Operations Generalist in Senegal and played a key role in building teams in various areas such as office management and user acquisition. In their current position as the Head of People Analytics, they have contributed to Wave's expansion into new markets and headcount growth by managing teams, overseeing HR data analytics, and leading global People projects. Sarah is responsible for activities such as performance review cycles, employee engagement surveys, and selecting and managing People SaaS tools.
Sarah Bou-Rhodes has a Master's degree in International Affairs, with a specialization in Conflict and Peacebuilding, which they obtained from the Geneva Graduate Institute between 2015 and 2017. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in International Relations at Middlebury College from 2006 to 2010. In 2008 and 2009, they also studied International Politics and European Cultural Studies at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.
