Kimberley Van Vliet is an experienced business leader who has held various positions in different organizations. In 2007, they founded and served as CEO of WāVv. In 2015, they became a member of ConvergX®, an organization that brings together military decision-makers and executives in energy, mining, defense, and security industries to explore cross-selling and collaboration opportunities. Since 2016, they have been a Director of Communications at Industrial Participation Association of Canada (IPAC) and a Technology and Innovation Committee member at Aerospace Industries Association of Canada. In 2019, they served as a co-chair for the Community of Interest on Innovation at NATO Industrial Advisory Group (NIAG) and also graduated from the Candian Leaders at Sea (CLaS) program at Royal Canadian Navy | Marine royale canadienne. The same year, they became an Alumni at Governor General's Canadian Leadership Council, whose goal is to improve the decision-making abilities of young leaders. Lastly, they have served as a Director of Aerospace and board member at the Alberta Aviation Council since 2008 and has been a member of Rotary International since 2000. In 2022, they will serve on the STO Technical Team on Space Risk Assessment Matrix at NATO Science & Technology Organization (CSO).
Kimberley Van Vliet has a diverse education history. Kimberley attained a CFP certification from CFP in 1999 and completed CSA for financial planning at an unknown time. From 2006 to 2010, they attended the University of London and earned an LLB degree in Law. In 2014, they completed the Level II Series 'Get On Board' Governance Education Program from the Canadian Board Diversity Council. Kimberley earned a BA degree in Psychology and Biology from the University of Alberta at an unknown time, and completed a course in Unpacking the Defense Enterprise from the Center for Strategic and International Studies in 2020. Kimberley attended Havergal College from 1985 to 1990 but did not receive a degree there.
