Issie Davis

Associate at Waxman Strategies

Before joining Waxman Strategies as an Associate on the Health team, Issie worked at The Hub Project as a Research and Policy Associate. There, she worked to create policy briefs and research resources for progressive partners and policymakers on a range of topics, including the impact on Americans of the IIJA, ARP, and the Dobbs decision. Issie also developed strategic framing for earned and paid communications on issues including abortion, health care access, and prescription drug prices.

Issie earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Global Health and the Environment in 2021 from Washington University in St. Louis. As a student, Issie worked with Dr. Parikh on a CDC-funded project to increase adherence to PrEP in the Midwest, and on a project that investigated Black ancillary health workers experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. Issie’s commitment to reproductive health care access led her to write her prize-winning senior honor thesis about state legislator characteristics that drive restrictive abortion legislation passage.
