Vaishnavi Jawahar, MS has a diverse work experience in various roles related to health policy and advocacy. Vaishnavi is currently the Director of the Health Team at Waxman Strategies since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at The White House as a Domestic Policy Coordinator from 2022 to 2023 and as a Graduate Health Policy Intern from 2022 to 2022. Vaishnavi also served as a Regional Program Manager at the Committee to Protect Health Care from 2021 to 2022. In 2020, they briefly worked as a Voter Activation Regional Director for Biden for President. Before that, they were a Health Policy Intern at United States Senate in 2019. Vaishnavi began their career as an Emergency Department Scribe at ScribeAmerica in 2017. In 2016, they spent three months as a Courier/Rural Health Intern at Frontier Nursing University, where they gained valuable experience in rural healthcare challenges. Vaishnavi also worked as a Summer Fellow at Enroll America in 2014.

Vaishnavi Jawahar obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University School of Medicine from 2018 to 2020. Vaishnavi previously earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology with minors in Public Health and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where they studied from 2013 to 2018. Prior to their undergraduate studies, they attended William G. Enloe Magnet High School from 2009 to 2013. Vaishnavi also holds certifications in CPR/First Aid from the International Red Cross, and additional certifications in Stewards of Children and Therapy Dog Handler.
