James Cockburn

James Cockburn is a seasoned Full Stack Engineer currently managing the technical operations of Learn with Dr Laura since June 2023, while also serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Wayflyer since July 2022, focusing on developer tooling and overall platform functionality. Previously, James made significant contributions at Skyscanner from September 2017 to July 2022, where promotions reflected advanced expertise in leading major projects and enhancing development processes. Earlier experience includes indie game development at Nero Games, academic roles as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Edinburgh during a Ph.D. program in Particle Physics Theory, and various positions in the betting industry. James holds a Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh and an MSci in Theoretical Physics from UCL.
