Marcial Hernandez

Marcial Hernandez is an experienced leader in technical program management with a strong background in autonomous vehicle technologies. Currently serving as the Lead Technical Program Manager at Waymo since September 2022, Marcial previously held the position of Staff Technical Program Manager at Argo AI, where a team was built to support the expansion of self-driving vehicle capabilities. Prior experience includes roles at Uber Advanced Technologies Center, where complex programs were managed to integrate self-driving vehicle hardware and software, and at Volkswagen of America, Inc., where technical leadership in mapping and localization for autonomous vehicles was provided. Marcial began a career in engineering at Intel Corporation and General Motors, and academic foundations were established with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from The University of New Mexico and a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
