Yin Zhou

Yin Zhou is an accomplished professional in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning, currently serving as a Senior Manager and Senior Staff Research Scientist at Waymo since February 2019. At Waymo, Yin Zhou leads initiatives focused on multi-modality foundation models and next-generation technologies for onboard perception and offboard data intelligence. Prior to Waymo, Yin Zhou held various positions at Apple from November 2015 to February 2019, contributing as a Tech Lead and Senior AI Researcher, and worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Samsung Research America where novel algorithms for a SmartTV recommender system were developed. Yin Zhou's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Delaware, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Beijing Jiaotong University.
