Bob Ackerman is a highly experienced legal educator, currently serving as a Professor of Law, Faculty Athletics Representative, and Dean at Wayne State University Law School since 2008. Bob previously held the position of Director at the Levin Center at Wayne Law from August 2017 to November 2019, a center established by the late Senator Carl Levin for bipartisan legislative oversight and public policy dialogue. Ackerman's earlier roles include Professor of Law at Penn State University from June 1999 to May 2008, Dean and Professor of Law at Willamette University College of Law from June 1996 to June 1999, and Professor of Law at Dickinson School of Law from June 1980 to June 1996. His legal career began as an Associate at Holme Robert & Owen from May 1976 to June 1980. Bob Ackerman earned a JD cum laude from Harvard Law School and a BA magna cum laude in Political Science from Colgate University.
