Carol Dargin

Carol Dargin has extensive work experience in facilities operations and engineering. Carol started their career at Johnson Controls, Inc. as an Application Engineer from 1993 to 1999. Carol then joined Wayne State University, where they held various roles starting from 1999. Carol began as a Project Manager/Sr. Project Manager - Design & Construction Services, overseeing multimillion dollar design and construction projects. Carol later transitioned to an Engineering Manager position, where they managed operations and administrative activities for stationary engineers and supervisors. Carol then became an Associate Director - Facilities Operations, responsible for managing and maintaining physical plant assets in over 120 facilities. In this role, they also oversaw the Refrigeration Crew and the campus-wide Building Automation System Network. Their most recent position at Wayne State University was Director of Operations Engineering, where they provided management oversight for all aspects of building-related engineering work and directed the activities of Associate Directors and Team Leaders.

Carol Dargin obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Lawrence Technological University in the years 1988 to 1993. Carol then pursued a Master's degree in Engineering from Wayne State University from 1995 to 1998. Additionally, they hold a certification in LEED - NC from the US Green Building Council, although the specific date of achievement is unavailable.
