Ekta Kamalia

Ekta Kamalia is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in construction project management and architectural design. Currently serving as the Director of Design & Construction Services at Wayne State University since May 2007, Ekta has successfully led a diverse range of capital projects, with budgets spanning from thousands to $75 million, while aligning with the Campus Master Plan and University Strategic Plan. Previous roles at the same institution included Senior Construction Project Manager and Construction Project Manager, where Ekta managed complex multimillion-dollar construction portfolios and various project delivery methods. Earlier professional experience includes working as an Architect at Chaudhary Kumar & Associates and Smriti Architects, focusing on the architectural design of residential and commercial spaces. Ekta holds a Master of Science in Construction Management from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Nagpur University, with an ongoing pursuit of an MBA in Finance from Wayne State University.
