Mark Luborsky

Co-director Social Work And Anthropology (swan) Doctoral Program

Mark Luborsky is a prominent academic with extensive experience in social work and anthropology. Since May 2000, Mark has served as Co-Director of the Social Work and Anthropology (SWAN) doctoral program and as Professor and Director of Aging and Health Disparities Research at Wayne State University. Additionally, Mark has held the position of Foreign Professor and Senior Research Scientist at Karolinska Institutet since January 2001. Between January 2006 and June 2013, Mark contributed as a Past Editor for the Medical Anthropology Quarterly. Prior to these roles, Mark conducted research at the Polisher Research Institute from 1987 to 1996. Mark earned a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Rochester, and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Social Psychology from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
