Steve F.

Steve F. is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in technology and materials research. Currently serving as Mentor-in-Residence at Wayne State University since July 2019, Steve collaborates with the Office of Business Innovation/Tech Communication Team to evaluate intellectual property and forge connections with potential industrial partners. Previously, as Vice President of Engineering at Repela Tech, LLC., Steve demonstrated leadership in engineering projects. During tenure at BASF from 2006 to July 2019, Steve held multiple director positions, including Director of Advanced Materials Research and Director of New Markets & Products, where strategic direction was provided to development teams focused on innovative thermoplastic and thermoset chemistries. Steve also held positions at Johnson Polymer and Henkel, contributing to R&D and technical services. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Polymer Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Stony Brook University.
