Timothy Stemmler

Interim Vice President For Research at Wayne State University

Timothy Stemmler is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. Currently serving as a Professor and Interim Vice President for Research at Wayne State University, Timothy also holds positions as Assistant Vice President for Integrative Biosciences and Associate Chair for the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Timothy's research is NIH funded, focusing on biophysics and metal homeostasis. Prior roles include a Professorship in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Wayne State University School of Medicine and a NIH Postdoctoral Fellowship in HIV Structural Biology at the University of Utah. Timothy Stemmler earned a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Michigan, following a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in the same field from Saint Louis University.
