Daphne Kao

Daphne Kao has extensive experience in human resources and people management. Daphne currently holds the position of Vice President, Human Resources at Waypoint Insurance. Previously, they served as Vice President, People & Culture at Choom and Director, People & Culture at Knix. Prior to that, they held the role of Senior Manager, Talent at Aritzia and Human Resources Manager at both AOL and Dealfind. Daphne began their career at Altus Group, where they worked as a Global Human Resources Generalist and later as a Human Resources Coordinator. Daphne has a strong background in HR operations, strategic planning, and building and executing people and culture strategies.

In 2017 to 2018, they attended the Coaches Training Institute and completed the Co-Active® Coach Training Program.

Between 2008 and 2009, they studied at Seneca Polytechnic, focusing on Human Resources Management.

From 2002 to 2007, they pursued an Honours Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Toronto.

Daphne Kao also possesses additional certifications. In October 2011, they obtained Standard First Aid CPR/AED Level-C from the Canadian Red Cross. In June 2010, they earned the Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) certification from HRPA (Human Resources Professionals Association).
