Leona Perkins has extensive experience in the insurance industry, starting with their role as an Executive Director at the Bruce Denniston Bone Marrow Society from 2001 to 2005. Leona then worked as a Personal Insurance Broker at Aon Reed Stenhouse from 2009 to 2010 and later as an Account Manager from 2011 to 2013. Following this, Leona joined Knight Archer Insurance as an Insurance Broker from 2013 to 2015. Leona then moved to Waypoint Insurance where they held multiple roles, including Branch Manager and Regional Operations Manager from 2015 to 2020. Leona is currently working as the Director of Operations for Waypoint Insurance on Vancouver Island.

Leona Perkins attended the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada from 2008 to 2010, where they earned their Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) degree. The field of study for their degree was focused on Canadian insurance brokerage.
