Sloan Priest

Sloan Priest has held various positions in the media industry since 2016. In 2016, they were a Producer/Production for Texas State University- Bobcat Update, where they developed rundowns, designed floor plans and sets for prerecorded and live programming, wrote scripts for various shows, edited video using Adobe Premiere for various PSA, and operated cameras to provide the best possible shots to match the director and producers' vision. In 2017, they were a Producer/Production Intern in Broadcast at Rooster Teeth, where they produced multiple shows from Pre-Production to Post production, managed all communications between producer talent and department heads, and used Google Docs to write ad reads and rundowns for podcasts. Additionally, they were a Social Media Coordinator Intern at Cypress Falls Event Center, where they created image, text, and video posts on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter to generate audience engagement, utilized Hootsuite to measure analytics and schedule social media posts, and developed a monthly analytic report to inform management on what the most effective posts have been, and their audience growth over the month. In 2018, they were a PA/Art PA/Grip/Video Editor (independent), where they assisted Art Director with set dressing, developed props to be used during scenes, and assisted in set construction and painting. Sloan was also a Producer/Production Intern at Texas State University- Studio A, where they researched and wrote VO’s, SOT’s, and stories for anchors and reporters to read during newscasts, managed production and development on various news stories from conception to delivery, and handled all in studio and field production using DSLR cameras and field lighting kits. In 2019, they were a Live Ops Coordinator and Floor Director at Fox 7 Austin, where they handled all communications between guests, anchors, and producers, managed talent on the studio floor during live broadcasts and pre-recorded segments, and edited videos for anchors using Edius and Adobe CC. Currently, they are a Content Operations Admin at WAYPOINT, where they assist in communicating and onboarding producers of new shows, utilizes Springserve, Google Analytics, Tableau, Periscope, and Bigquery to pull reports of their viewership data of their content and ads for all of their platforms, and programs and builds out their linear channel using Wurl and Amagi.

Sloan Priest obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Texas State University between 2014 and 2019.
