Catherine Schwenkler

Lead Author Of High School Spanish Language Curricula at Wayside Publishing

Catherine Schwenkler is an accomplished educator and curriculum developer with extensive experience in Spanish language instruction across various educational settings. Currently serving as the Lead Author of High School Spanish Language Curricula at Wayside Publishing since March 2012, Catherine has successfully led multiple curriculum development projects and contributed to innovative Spanish programs promoted at various conferences. Previous roles include serving as a Spanish teacher at Capuchino High School, a founding Spanish teacher at Growing Up Green Charter School, and at Global Learning Collaborative, where Catherine designed original curriculums and participated in community-building initiatives. Additionally, Catherine has experience as a World Languages Consultant at Asia Society, enhancing professional development for language educators. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in Foreign Language Teacher Education from William & Mary and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Hispanic Studies from the same institution.
