Sean Harris

Sean Harris is an experienced professional in the field of artificial intelligence and autonomous vehicles. As the Director of Embodied AI at Wayve since January 2024, Sean oversees the on-road driving performance of the company's technology stack, leading teams in end-to-end modeling, data development, robotics, and event diagnosis. Previously, Sean held multiple leadership roles at Cruise from July 2016 to January 2024, including Director of Behaviors and Director of Prediction, focusing on autonomous vehicle decision-making and actor prediction in urban environments. Sean's earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Engineering Manager and a Senior Software Engineer at Cruise, as well as tutoring various computing courses at UNSW Australia. Sean led the UNSW RoboCup team, achieving world champion status in autonomous robot soccer, and holds a Ph.D. in Machine Learning and a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from UNSW.
