Kate Kelly

Manager, Strategic Programs at WBENC

As Manager, Strategic Programs, Kate is responsible for the MatchMaker programs, the Women’s Business Enterprise Stars recognition, the Dorothy B. Brothers Scholarship program, and she is the staff liaison to the Women’s Enterprise Forum.

Prior to joining WBENC, Kate worked at mHUB Chicago, a hardtech innovation ecosystem. There she helped launch their accelerator in 2021 where she recruited and supported entrepreneurs in the smart manufacturing, and climate and energy technology sectors. She was also the Associate Director of Guest Services at the Smart Museum of Art at the University of Chicago. Kate studied Art History and Mathematics at Colgate University, where she currently serves as a mentor through their entrepreneurship program, Thought Into Action. She got her MBA from the University of Chicago in 2019, concentrating on economics, strategic management and entrepreneurship.
