Rebecca Sheir is an accomplished audio storyteller and journalist with extensive experience in public radio and podcasting. Currently serving as the host of the "Circle Round" podcast at WBUR since June 2017, Rebecca adapts folktales into engaging audio scripts for children and their families. As a freelance reporter since May 2016, Rebecca produces stories for various public radio programs and publications. Additionally, as a partner at Sheir and Shim LLC, Rebecca develops sound-rich podcasts, overseeing the entire production process. Rebecca has also hosted other notable podcasts, including Slate Magazine's "Placemakers" and "Who When Wow," and has worked in various reporting roles at WAMU 88.5, NPR, and KTOO-TV&FM. Educationally, Rebecca holds a BA in Film Studies from Columbia University and an MFA in Nonfiction Writing from the University of Iowa.
