Ann Hartwig

Ann Hartwig has extensive experience in human resources, with a focus on providing business partnership, consultation, and support to senior and executive leaders. Ann has held various roles throughout their career, including Human Resources Director at the Workers' Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau (WCIRB) since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Farmers Insurance Group of Companies as a Human Resources Manager and Business Partner from 2012 to 2022, and as a Human Resources Consultant and Business Partner from 2012 to 2018. Ann also has experience in human resources generalist roles, including at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage from 2011 to 2012 and at Tavistock Restaurants LLC in 2011. Additionally, they served as a Human Resources Director at Cycle Gear from 2004 to 2011, where they provided leadership and support in areas such as employee relations, HR compliance, recruitment and selection, employee compensation and benefits, and payroll.

Ann Hartwig completed their education with a Ph.D. in Public Health Education and Promotion from Walden University from 2022 to 2025. Prior to that, they obtained a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in Health and Human Performance from Concordia University Chicago from 2019 to 2022. Additionally, they earned an MBA in Human Resources from the University of Phoenix from 2002 to 2004 and a BA in Liberal Arts from Hastings College from 1995 to 1999. Ann also holds certifications including Associate Certified Coach (ACC) from the International Coaching Federation, Certified Executive, Life, Health and Wellness Coach from the Goal Imagery Institute and the International School of Coaching Mastery, and Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from HRCI.
