Brad Panovich

Chief Meteorologist at WCNC Charlotte

Brad Panovich is an experienced meteorologist and educator, currently serving as an Adjunct Professor in the Earth Sciences and Geography Department at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte since January 2016, where Brad teaches Weather Communications in the Undergraduate Meteorology program. In addition, Brad Panovich has been the Chief Meteorologist at WCNC-TV since January 2003 and has worked with TEGNA as a Meteorologist since 1999. Brad Panovich is also an active member of the National Weather Association since 1995, contributing as a member of the Social Media Committee. Previous roles include Meteorologist at WWL-TV from August 1999 to December 2003, Chief Meteorologist at WFQX-TV from September 1998 to September 1999, and Meteorologist at WKEF-TV in 1997. Brad Panovich earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Sciences from The Ohio State University, completing studies from 1992 to 1997.
