Kayland Hagwood

Kayland Hagwood is an experienced broadcast journalist currently serving as the Sunday Morning Anchor and Weekday Reporter at WCNC Charlotte since March 2023. Prior to this role, Kayland worked at WLTX-TV from May 2018 to March 2023, where responsibilities included serving as a Weekend Evening Anchor and Investigative Reporter, focusing on live and digital content creation. Earlier positions included anchoring weekend evening and morning shows, as well as a multifaceted role as a Multiskilled Journalist. Kayland's foundational experience includes an internship at WBTV, where insights into a top 25 market newsroom were gained, and freelance reporting for The Lancaster News. Kayland holds a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Carolina, earned in 2018.
