Roy Montgomery

Roy Montgomery is an experienced broadcast engineer with a career spanning over two decades in the broadcasting industry. Currently serving at WDIV Local 4 News/ClickOnDetroit since May 2022, Roy previously held the position of broadcast engineer at WTOL 11 from February 2019 to May 2022. Roy's extensive expertise includes broadcast signal monitoring, equipment installation and operation, and providing engineering support for productions. Additionally, Roy has experience with ESPN3 graphics and production format creation, as well as training and supervising students and staff. Prior to these roles, Roy worked as a broadcast technician at WBGU from March 2001 to December 2016, where responsibilities included computer, network, and server maintenance along with serving as a second shift building supervisor.
