Rumen Gechev

Rumen Gechev has extensive experience in both government and academia. Since October 2014, Rumen Gechev has served as a member of parliament and Vice Chairman of the Commission on Budget and Finance, focusing on fiscal and economic policy as well as business legislation. Rumen Gechev has been a Professor at the University of National and World Economy since June 1984, specializing in Economics, Economic Policy, Sustainable Development, and Political Economy. Additionally, Rumen Gechev held the position of Minister of Economic Development for the Government of Bulgaria from January 1995 to February 1997. Rumen Gechev earned a Ph.D. in Political Economy from the University of National and World Economy, graduating in 1989.
