Anne Steptoe

Anne Steptoe has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Anne has held various leadership roles in technology and infrastructure management.

From 1999 to 2010, Anne worked at ReserveAmerica, where they served as a Manager of Development. Anne led a team of developers focusing on J2EE SAS applications for camping, ticketing, permitting, and POS. Anne also managed projects, evaluated third-party software vendors, and deployed new tools.

In 2010, they joined The Active Network as a Senior Manager of Development. Anne'sresponsibilities included managing a team of developers and playing a crucial role in building an enterprise reservation, ticketing, and licensing sales system using Java, .NET, and Flex technologies.

In 2014, Anne joined The Weather Network as a Software Development Manager. Anne led web development teams responsible for maintaining and enhancing their websites.

During their tenure at The Weather Network, Anne held several positions, including Senior Manager of Software Development Process and Architecture. In this role, they were involved in long-range strategic technology road-mapping, cloud migration, and evaluation of new technologies.

From 2021 to 2022, Anne worked at Wealthsimple, initially as a Senior Director of Infrastructure. Anne led the Infrastructure organization, consisting of Developer Tools, Edge Reliability, Infrastructure Platform Engineering, and IT Operations. Anne'sresponsibilities included providing employees with the necessary tools and building reliable, secure, and scalable software infrastructures.

In 2022, Anne was promoted to the position of Vice President of Infrastructure at Wealthsimple.

Throughout their career, Anne has demonstrated strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a focus on quality assurance, automation, and infrastructure development.

Anne Steptoe completed their education with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Toronto - University of St. Michael's College, from 1993 to 1997. Anne then pursued a Certificate in Information Technologies Professional from Sheridan College, from 1998 to 1999. Anne also holds several additional certifications, including an Accelerate Anne'sFuture's Fellowship Circle Program - Mentor certification obtained in April 2023, a Roundtable Catalyst Leader certification obtained in September 2021, a Roundtable Master Catalyst certification obtained in September 2021, and an Indigenous Canada certification received from Coursera in October 2020.
