Liz Williams is the Co-Founder and General Director at Afara. Liz has over a decade of experience in event planning and management, having worked as the General Manager at Echoes on Pico and the Operations Manager at The Husseini Group, LLC. Liz also has experience in education, having served as the Founder / Director of Living Educational Encounters and as an International Programs Advisor at University of Southern California.

Liz Williams has a MS in International Management from HEC Paris, a BA in Economics-Accounting/French from Claremont McKenna College, and is certified from the American TESOL Institute in Advanced TESOL and TESOL for Business. Liz has also completed the Landmark Forum, Advanced Course, SELP at Landmark, and has various other education in Teacher Education and Professional Development, Specific Subject Areas from the University of Southern California, Advanced Mandarin Studies from National Taiwan Normal University, and Mandarin Chinese from Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales (Inalco). Liz Williams has also attended the University of Chicago Laboratory High School.

Their manager is Jules Sanders, Founder & Co-Executive Director. Jodi Doane - Programs Manager, Elaine Lustado - Assistant to Director of Programs report to Liz Williams. They are on a team with Tim Ducker - Director of Strategic Planning and Development, Defne Sarsilmaz - Head of Research, and Scott Coleman - Executive Assistant & Program Management Consultant.
